Wayne Beall
Bio: Born November 23, 1940 in Washington, D.C.
Worked in tobacco fields on grandfather’s Southern Maryland Farm during teenage years, artist in Public Relations Office in the Federal Government 1961-1965.
Education: 1966-1970 Attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
Vocation: 1971 Started own business, Wayne Signs. Hand lettered yachts, signs, vehicles and silk screening.
Family: Along with my wife of 36 years, Nancy, I have one son,Tim, and two grandchildren, Duncan and Isla.
Plein-Air: 2004 Began participating in the fine art of Plein-Air painting. Attended workshops by Gavin Brooks and Scott Tallman Powers.
Subject Preference: Most of my paintings are of marine and farm scenes that I grew up and worked around all my life.
Representation:
River Gallery, Galesville, MD: Received recognition in the annual juried show; Best in Show 2007 and 2009.
Muddy Creek Artists Guild: "Gifts from the Arts" Best in Show 2009.
Personal: Resides on Chalk Point Rd. on the West River for the last 36 years.
