Another Successful Spring Show! …

Thanks to all of our friends and fans!

Many thanks to everyone who came out in support of our Spring Show, held April 20-29 in Edgewater. We had a great time talking with our visitors about our work! Not only did we get to showcase new work by more than 35 Muddy Creek artists, but we also featured artwork by artists at the Arundel Lodge, individual pieces by more than 40 elementary students from South County schools, and three large felted pieces created by Central ES students under the guidance of Muddy Creek artists Corinna Woodard and (their art teacher) Greta Morris. The Spring show is a judged show and we appreciate the time and consideration given to the awards by Janet Fry Rogers. The winners are noted below in the Spotlight on our Members. Special appreciation to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket or bought a wooden toy (created and donated by Dr. Francis Gouin)—we raised more than $1,700 to benefit our South County elementary school art programs. Wow—that's a record! All in all, a great show!

Spring Show 2018 Awards

Our Spring show always features all new work from our artists and we invite an artist to judge the show. This year Janet Fry Rogers was our judge and she gave out 1st and 2nd place awards in 7 media categories, as noted below. Our visitors can also show their special appreciation of the work of a single artist by voting for our "People's Choice Award." For the Spring show, that award went to painter and sculptor, Lora Moran Collins. Here are the category award winners:
