(2D art: collage, watercolor, acrylics, pen & ink)
"Having my own studio has enhanced my pleasure and process. The benign chaos engages me and my work in a conversation about colors, materials, brushes, palette knives, etc. The work and me have a great time together. Guests always welcome!"

(oil, acrylic, watercolors, mixed media)
"In watercolor there is always an element of surprise, of chance. The colors blend on the paper; the paints flow. I'm always exploring other media, but so far, watercolor is still the medium that takes my breath away."

Michelle Schneider
(jewelry)
"My creative journey began with resin, acrylics, then wire/bead jewelry. Always searching new ways to make 3D art themed jewelry, I found clay. The blending, forming, slicing, baking, finishing, and finally presenting. Dearly love it!"

"I'm drawn to the tactile experience of working with wool. With wet felting there's always an element of surprise in the finished fabric. I might start with an idea in my head and end up with something else. It's great fun!"

~Planning Your Trip~
The studios will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., both Saturday, October 21, and Sunday, October 22, unless otherwise noted. You can visit one, some, or all of the participating artist studios.
Start your journey here!
1) Look through the participating artist directory above. Each entry provides you a bit about each artist and a sample of their work. The directory icons give you more information about what to expect at each studio.
2) Select the studios you "must see" and plot your basic route. If you're planning to visit multiple studios, we suggest your route follow studios by number--either forward from #1 or backward from #8. Of course, the adventurous among you wanting to meander a bit through lovely South County may choose to zigzag randomly between studios. Don't forget to plan for lunch or dinner along the way. Check out our raffle sponsors (on the map and described below) for dining suggestions.
3) Click on the map to see studio and sponsor addresses and to get driving directions. (Note: The map will become active on October 14th.) Just a reminder that while Google Maps and GPS can be very helpful in navigation, they are not always completely reliable in rural areas like this.
4) Follow the signs! Our distinctive road signs will help guide you on your journey to your destinations.
If you get turned around, don't worry. On tour days, each studio marker on the map will provide a phone number for the artist. If you find yourself in a pinch, don't hesitate to contact one of the artists for help getting back on track. Additionally, each studio will have a one-page handout with studio locations to support visitors who prefer paper over digital.
